KCFC SOCCER ACADEMY CAMP - SUMMER 2010

KCFC’s staff has provided the premier level professional soccer training in Kansas City for over fifteen years.
 

Due to the popularity of our Soccer Academy at 68’s Inside Sports, KCFC is introducing a new summer program designed for boy and girl players, ages 5 – 12 years old. Camp will be held at Shawnee Mission South HS!

PROGRAM SCHEDULE  - 2010 (Limited to 48 players per session.  Coach/player ratio = 12 – SIGN UP DEADLINE June 1st, 2010.

Like the academy, camp will focus on developing the technique of each individual player.   Players will be evaluated at the beginning of camp as well as at the end. 

The curriculum has a six-part component comprised of the following:

1. SPEED, AGILITY and COORDINATION: Focus will be on acceleration, running with and without the ball as well as change of pace.  Players will work with 68’s Inside Sports Staff for the first 15 to 30 minutes of each day. 
2. BALL MASTERY: Emphasis on each player working independently with the ball using both feet. Repetition is the key here.
3. RECEIVING and PASSING: This will involve exercises to improve a player’s touch and increase accuracy as well as creativity in passing.
4. MOVES (1 v 1): Exercises which teach the moves that create space against any defense.
5. FINISHING: Game play and exercises that teach techniques for finishing as well as nurturing instinctive play.
6. GROUP PLAY: Games and exercises that improve small-group combination play.

Player Equipment
 

·        All players should bring a soccer ball to each session (U5s – U8s need a size 3 and U9s-U12s need a size 4). The player’s name needs to be marked on the ball to identify it from the other balls at the academy.

·        Players must wear soccer shoes or running shoes.

·        Each player should also have a water bottle clearly marked with his/her name. 

·        Shin guards are optional but recommended. 

The KCFC official uniform (Academy jersey, shorts, socks) can be purchased at an additional charge of $45.00.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather please check the website www.KCFCsoccer.com to determine if the session will take place. All sessions will be cancelled one hour prior to the start time. In the event that a session is cancelled due to the weather a make-up date will be scheduled. If more than one session is cancelled due to inclement weather we will make every attempt to find an alternative date for the missed session(s). No refunds will be given for days lost due to inclement weather.

Medical Coverage

All students must have their own medical coverage. The academy provides only excess coverage after your insurance policy has been utilized.
